Day 23 with Shaun T’s Insanity is Cardio Power and Resistance. I am really starting to feel good now and I hope I am ready for the last 4 weeks of Insanity. Next week is a recovery week but for some reason I really think it will be anything but easy. I am really glad I started this Insane workout. Insanity has really taken my cardio to the next level. Just be sure you are already in pretty good shape because Insanity is not for beginners. I know I have said it about 10 times already but I really want to stress this. Day 4 with Shaun T’s Insanity is cardio recovery. Don’t let the name fool you. Recovery, yes. Easy, no. I thought we might be taking it easy with this workout only to find out that my legs were going to be ran through the rinse cycle a few times. Squats, and more squats and then hold it. Well, I couldn’t hold it. That was tough so now I know what I need to work on. I thought that P90X Yoga X might have prepared me for this workout. I guess it kind of did prepare me .p90xsince I can’t even imagine how sore I would have been without the P90X workouts. My calves and hamstrings are still a little sore and are getting even more sore just thinking about what tomorrow will bring.If you are used to traditional weight lifting, jogging, swimming, biking or any other exercise then you will love Insanity if you are looking to mix things up. After thinking about how to answer I decided to refer to the P90X fitness guide and also tell him what works best for me from my own personal experience. In the P90X fitness there is always a recovery week which is every 4th week. So you workout for 3 weeks and then do P90X Yoga X, P90X Core Synergistics, P90X Ke.coach bagsnpo X and P90X Stretch. I would say to give your body some sort of recovery time just like you do in the 4th week, the 8th week and the 13th week of P90X. What you do is up to you but I would do something. I would not just take 7 days off from everything. Here is what I do. I do Yoga X twice, Core synergistics twice and p90x dvd set on Wed I do light weight with 20 reps per exercise. Actually let me spell in out: Mon- P90X Yoga X, Tues- P90X Core Synergistics, Wed- Lift weights with light weights and do 20 reps per .beats by dreexercise, thurs- P90X Yoga X, and Fri- P90X Core synergistics. (Sat and Sun I do nothing) You could probably throw in P90X Plyometrics in the mix instead of core but it is up to you. For some reason this really energizes me and I feel stronger when I start back up on the following Monday.Everyone is different and you have to do what is best for you and your body. Maybe you only workout 3 times during your recovery week. Maybe you only need a recovery week every 5th or 6th week. What you need will be an on going work in progress. It takes time to figure these things out. Your goals will change and then you will have to make even further changes to your workout regiment.So listen to your body, it will send you messages. What is good for me might now be good for you. Always stay open minded when it comes to your fitness and be willing to make some changes. Keep it fun and keep pushing play. You can always add Insanity or Tony Horton’s One on One workouts to your regiment as well if you really want to mix it up.

Today was day 17 with Shaun T’s Insanity which is Pure Cardio and then Cardio Abs. I also did a little lifting on the bench and did some curls with the dumbbells. Today’s workout was extra tough today to say the least and it is all my fault. I learned a good lesson today. You don’t want to play with Shaun T after a long night of pouring back a few beers.(OK, like 10, LOL) Not to mention that.p90x those beers totally ruined my nutrition for the day. Then of course I had to have a late night omelette as well as a couple cups of coffee with sugar. Geez! I really blew it yesterday. That’s ok.
